Who we are
THE UDYOG provides training, placement and consultancy services from Hyderabad, India. In this policy “we” means THE UDYOG and “you” means anyone who submits information through this website. For any privacy question, write to services@theudyog.ai.
What we collect
We only collect what you type into a form on this site. We do not buy personal data from third parties.
- Enquiry form. Name, email address, phone number and country code, the service you are interested in, your role and years of experience, your message, and a resume file if you attach one.
- Enrolment form. The above plus gender, current city, skills and technologies, desired job role, how you heard about us, a referrer name if given, and up to two resume files.
- Newsletter. Your email address only.
- Certificate verification. Verifying a certificate ID requires no personal information. Your IP address is counted temporarily for rate limiting and is not stored against your identity.
Why we use it
- To respond to your enquiry and advise you on services.
- To represent you to employers in our network — only for roles you have agreed to.
- To enrol you in a training programme and issue a certificate on completion.
- To send you the newsletter, if you asked for it.
- To keep records we are required to keep, and to resolve disputes.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your resume for advertising or to train machine learning models.
Where it is stored
- Form data is stored in MongoDB Atlas databases operated on our behalf.
- Resume files are uploaded to Cloudinary, a third-party media host, and referenced by link. Accepted formats are PDF, DOC and DOCX up to 5 MB.
- Email delivery is handled by our transactional email provider so that notifications reach our team.
These providers process data on our instructions. They may store it on servers outside India, which means your information may be transferred across borders.
Who we share it with
Employers and clients. Your profile and resume are shared with an employer only for a role you have agreed to be submitted for. We do not circulate resumes to build a database, and we do not share your details with other candidates.
Service providers. The hosting, storage and email providers named above, strictly to run this service.
Legal requests. Where we are required to disclose information by law or a valid order from a competent authority.
Cookies and analytics
This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. A session cookie is set only for staff signing in to our internal admin console. We use Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights, which collect aggregate traffic and performance measurements without building a profile of you.
How long we keep it
Enquiry and enrolment records, including resumes, are retained for up to three years from your last interaction with us, so that we can contact you about relevant openings. Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe. Certificate records are retained indefinitely, because the whole point of a certificate is that it stays verifiable.
Your choices
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you.
- Correct anything that is wrong or out of date.
- Delete your record and resume files.
- Stop representing you to employers.
- Remove you from the newsletter.
Email services@theudyog.ai from the address you registered with and we will action it within 30 days. Deleting your record ends any active placement process, since we cannot represent a candidate whose details we no longer hold.
Security, honestly stated
We restrict access to candidate records to staff who need it, transmit data over encrypted connections, and store passwords hashed rather than in plain text. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise. If a breach affects your information we will tell you and the relevant authority.
Children
Our services are for people seeking employment or professional training and are not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we use your information will be notified to you by email where we hold one.
